These excellent log Cabins, situated in the Scottish Highlands, are located just 30 minutes from Stirling Castle and at the gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Their central location in the heart of Scotland makes them ideal for visiting the east coast at St Andrews - the home of golf - or Glencoe and Oban, the gateway to the Western Isles.

Visitor attractions in this part of the Highlands include the oldest living thing in Europe, the Fortingall yew tree, Auchingarrich wild life centre, one of the first Earthquake monitoring stations nearby at Comrie, a recreated Crannog (fortified man made island home) on Loch Tay and first class walking and climbing opportunities are all around. There are 30 golf courses within 40 minutes with fishing nearby on loch and river.
The highland log Cabins provide well equipped self catering holiday cottages accommodation and sit on the bank of the River Earn. Each has its own riverview and frontage, a mile from Loch Earn Hills and glens, (valleys), lochs and rivers are all around and the area is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty.
Ducks are frequent visitors hoping to be fed! All the highland log cabins sleeps up to six, plus baby, in three bedrooms. These are excellent self catering Perthshire holidays cottages, ideally situated in the centre of Scotland to unwind or take part in many local sports and leisure activities. After an action packed day exploring the local highlands, many enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening on the riverbank with only the ducks for company.

Locally there is wonderful walking and climbing, a wealth of river and loch fishing and golfing for all abilities with pretty 9 hole country golf courses and more challenging 18 hole championship golf courses within easy reach. Loch Earn also has sailing and other water sports facilities, and cyclists and mountain biking enthusiasts are well catered for with an abundance of suitable tracks.

The village of Comrie, provides many facilities with excellent restaurants at The De'ils Cauldron Restaurant, named after a waterfall in the hill above, The Royal Hotel with formal dining and bar meals and The Comrie Hotel with good bar food. Comrie Golf course is a very scenic 9 hole golf course with excellent catering facilities and visitors are welcomed. A useful Grocery shop, a delicatessen , a post office and a garage selling fuel are also available in the village. Architectural enthusiasts will be able to visit a Charles Rennie Macintosh building on the corner of the square now operating as a hardware and value store.Supermarkets are available in Crieff just 10 miles away.
Being on the edge of the highland fault line, Comrie, known as the "Shaky Toon" because a series of minor earthquakes in the 19th Century, has an early example of a seismometer located in Earthquake House, across the Ross Bridge. ( a picture is available in our gallery)
The area has been designated as one of outstanding natural beautyand are on the edge of Scotland's first national park Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park(external link) and provide an excellent base for a gentle stroll amidst rolling hillsides or a more ambitious effort to conquer a Munro.
Highland Perthshire is centrally placed for observing Scottish wild life. Deer, feral goats, red squirrels, ospreys, herons and buzzards are frequent visitors at Riverside Log Cabins.
