Self Catering Holiday Cottages on the banks of the River Earn

A Riverside Log Cabin make an excellent  holiday cottage, with access to many local activities , walking, fishing, riding, golf and water sports. Their central location makes them ideal for seeing so much of Scotland.

Each holiday cottage is set on the wooded bank of the River Earn and is constructed of whole Finnish logs, double glazed and tastefully furnished and carpeted throughout. .

Inside:

Your holiday cottage is fully equipped for up to 6 people, with heating in all rooms . A colour television, video player, radio and CD player, together with soft furnishing make the sitting room very comfortable. We have recently installed satellite TV in each riverside log cabin.

The Kitchen has a full sized cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, iron and all the tableware, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery needed for 6 people. All of the holiday cottages have newly fitted kitchens completed in spring 2007 (see the picture below). In the office/laundry there is a washing machine, a tumble dryer and many videos and books for guests use.

Your holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms - a double, a twin and a bunk room with full length bunks. All have storage for your clothes etc. Bed linen and duvets are provided and beds are made up, ready for your arrival.

In each Scottish holiday cottage, we can provide towels, a cot and a high chair, if requested in advance, for a small extra charge.

Bedroom in on of our Cabins, with view to the treesThe bathroom has a full sized bath, Power Shower, a heated towel rail, extractor fan,and an electric shaver socket. Each Scottish holiday cottage is maintained to a high standard of décor and cleanliness under the personal supervision of the owners.

A pay phone, washing machine and tumble dryer are provided for guests use and there are many videos and books available for your use.

Outside

Doors open from the sitting room onto a deck area (renewed in 2005) overlooking the River Earn. Your riverside holiday cottage has been carefully sited with its own river frontage, and is not directly overlooked by any other log cabin.

Garden seats, picnic benches and barbeques have been provided at each riverside holiday cottage so that a relaxed glass of wine, outdoor meal or barbeque can be enjoyed with only the ducks for company. There are boat launching facilities on Loch Earn, a short distance away.

Holiday cottage kitchen areaThere is ample parking for at least 2 cars per holiday lodge and a ramp is available for wheelchair users if required. Each holiday cottage is situated on the bank of the River Earn where it meanders between pine clad hills.

Across the river from your Scottish holiday cottage the view through the trees, is of sheep grazing in pasture fields stretching to the hills beyond.

This Holiday cottage, set in beautiful Perthshire, provides an excellent base for seeing so much of Scotland

The Cabins are situated on the edge of Dunira Estate once home of Henry Dundas. Appointed Lord Advocate in 1775, and Secretary of State for the Home Department in 1791, he was the most powerful person in Scotland in his day and his family graveyard, containing 12 graves, the last being of Sir Robert Dundas (1881-1981) can be visited just a few hundred yardsfrom the site.
