Get away from the Rat Race

The Log Cabins are beautiful, with everything you need for a self catering holiday. When you arrive the beds made, the lights and heating was on as we went in October, and they have a starter pack of essentials like tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, loo rolls, etc.
The 3 bedrooms, sleep 6 people, room 1 has a double bed, room 2 has 2 single beds and room 3 has bunk beds. It also has a comfortable Lounge/Kitchen, and a good size shower room. All the rooms are comfortable and cosy. It has double doors out of the kitchen/lounge which go out onto a decked balcony which looks out over a small wood, river, fields and mountains beyond, they have patio chairs and table for you to enjoy the view and sounds of the river. You can walk down to the river from your balcony. The cabins are isolated, there are villages in each direction which have shops, cafes, pubs. There are beautiful walks on your doorstep, it has a walk which leads to the next villages, one of which is about 2 miles, the other 1 mile. The closest large supermarket is about 30 minutes away in Perth. The staff are very friendly and helpful when they are on site. There are six detached cabins on the site so if you need more space for other family members you can rent more than one cabin. I was very pleased that they allow pets there as we have dogs, The only thing I would say is a bit of a downside is that behind the log cabins and driveway is the A85 which is not very busy but you can sometimes hear the traffic passing. We had a fantastic holiday and will be booking up for next year.

Room Tip: All cabins face south towards the wood, river, fields and mountains, WiFi available in cabins 1,2...

"Booking again for Christmas"

Have just got back from Riverside after a 2 week break and I can not wait to book my flights to go back for Christmas. We have been coming here twice a year for the last 20
years so what does that tell you, can't be bad otherwise we would not keep coming. What is not to like? The cabins are comfortable ,Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Colin and Aileen took over here just over a year ago and have made many new improvements like new bathrooms with walk in shower modern ceiling lighting and more to come. The setting and the scenery is idyllic. Yes it is near the main road but road noise at night is nothing. It is ideally situated for travelling to Fort William, Oban, Edinburgh, Stirling , Perth ,Glencoe, Loch Lomond and many other places we visit when we are there. But of course you can not please everyone all the time. Any way I could rave about this for hours but why not try it for yourselves. Enjoy !!!!!

"Superb Family Weekend Break"

Had a fantastic relaxing weekend at Riverside Cabins with family. On arrival, I was absolutely delighted with the facilities and presentation of the cabins. Having been to many other 3* Self Catering accommodations this definitely surpassed my expectations and personally I would say the cabins are more 4* standard than 3* with modern features such as a dish washer, fan oven and some interior refurbishments which I think are still ongoing. Went with a 7 year old and 2 year old who had an absolute ball!!! The River was a huge hit and provided hours of entertainment for the kids and was perfectly safe for them to explore and enjoy the freedom whilst we supervised from the decking and relaxed (even with a 2 year old). The cabins are located off of the main road so areideally positioned for going out in the car and accessing Comrie, Crieff and the surrounding area and the road is not busy at nights so we were never kept awake with traffic or road noise. There are plenty of routes to walk and the cabins are very dog friendly and I have to say considering these are so popular with dog owners the accommodation is still spotlessly clean! We arrived quite late at night so didn't see too much outside on arrival so it was a very pleasant surprise to wake up to the river in the morning and see how close it was. As soon as we opened the back door the ducks came running out of the water and up to see us. As mentioned the kitchen facilities are excellent for this standard of accommodation which made cooking breakfast and dinner (as we ate in) hassle free. Overall I can't rate the accommodation highly enough and it ticked all of the boxes for our family so we will definitely be returning.... hopefully this summer.
